2 minute poem at the train station.

Uniformity reigned
Over cracked concrete slabs
Buried cigarette butts, scraps of
Gum wrappers, made home in its mercy

Its bleary eyed subjects emerged
Sheep shorn of their sides
And backs, shuffling as though it were
The Great Yorkshire Show
Or some such lark.

  1. Yeah this definitely defines any subway or train station that I've ever seen. I've been to one in Washington D.C. and it was quite similar. The only difference I think is there was a lot of business men and women running around all skittish like they were about to get their heads cut off if they didn't make it to work on time. I think I almost got trampled by two or three while waiting to get through the sliding doors. A lot of poetic influence can come from a train station. By the way, have you seen the movie Hugo? This kind of reminded me of that movie.

    1. The train station is honestly one of my biggest sources of inspiration! I find people watching fascinating :-), oh man that sounds vastly different to the train station I frequent, it's quite small and out of the way but there's such a multitude of different people! I haven't seen it no, but I've heard very good things about it
